Can I make a booking using my credit card for someone else?
  Yes, you may make a booking for a third party provided the necessary approval is given by our eCommerce Division. Please contact bookings@srilankan.aero for details.
   
A friend is paying for my ticket and he is traveling with me on the same flight, will it be a problem? If he is not traveling on one leg of the journey, will it be a problem ?
  This wont be a problem as long as your friend is flying on both sectors with you, he will however be required to show his credit card which was used to make the booking at the airport in order for you to board the flight. If both are not traveling together on one leg of the journey please obtain authority from bookings@srilankan.aero
   

What are the credit cards that are accepted through your website?

 

We currently accept Master, Visa and Amex Credit Cards only.

   
What do I do if my credit card gets lost or changed after purchasing the ticket?
  If you are not in possession of your credit card which was used to make the booking online, please contact bookings@srilankan.aero or the nearest SriLankan Airlines office 3 days prior to departure of your flight and obtain approval for a hassle free check-in during your travel without the credit card.

In the event if you have failed to obtain approval to travel without the credit card, you may have to provide required documentation on demand at the time of check-in at the Airport.
   

Can I pay for this booking using a supplementary card?

 

The use of supplementary cards for online purchases is up to the discretion of the credit card company; please check with your credit card company regarding the possibility.

   

I have a Corporate Credit Card, can I use it to purchase online?

 

Yes, you may use the Corporate Credit Card to purchase tickets for any number of passengers. However, the same procedure needs to be adopted as for normal credit card. Please contact bookings@srilankan.aero for further details.

   

Is there any other way I can get these fares, other than through the website?

 

These fares which are only available exclusively through our website and you may not be able to get the same fare elsewhere, if you are interested in traveling on SriLankan Airlines and unable to book online, please contact the nearest SriLankan Airlines Ticket Office or your Travel Agent. Can I book flights originating out of another country, from where I am?

 

Yes this is possible, E.g. If you reside in Sri Lanka, you can make a booking to travel for yourself out of London.

 
   

Can I get a paper ticket instead of an E-Ticket?

 

Paper tickets are not valid anymore. However,  e-tickets are recognized as a valid document and is a convenient way of carrying your ticket.

   

How do I collect the ticket for my travel?

 

A valid ticket for your travel will be e-mailed to you, all you need to do is print this ticket and come to the airport in order to check in for your flight.

   

What are the documents I need to produce at the airport?

 

You will be asked to show a printout of the e-Ticket of your travel as well as your passport and credit card in order to check in for your flight. In case of 3rd party booking, if the necessary approval have been obtained by our eCommerce Division (bookings@srilankan.aero) the credit card is not mandatory.

   

Can I make a booking without my passport number?

 

We require the passport number of the passenger at the time of booking, please ensure that you have this information with you at the time of making the booking. However, if your current passport   is expiring prior to your travel, please contact bookings@srilankan.aero (or on phone 01 9733 1435/44/47) and get your reservation updated with the new passport number.

   

I need to make a booking for a group larger than 9 people, how do I do it?

 

You may make two different bookings each booking consisting of 9 passengers.

   
Do you handle Visa requirements as well?
 

We do not assist with the application and processing of Visa, However please note that the E-Ticket which you receive is a valid document and can be presented to the Embassy in order to get the Visa

   

I have lost my ticket, what do I do?

 

Please contact bookings@srilankan.aero or our nearest SriLankan Airlines Office who will help you get another ticket. CLICK HERE to find the nearest Ticket Office

 
   

I made a booking and have still not received my ticket, what do I do?

 

Please check your e-mail address, whether you have received your ticket or contact us on bookings@srilankan.aero to help locate your ticket

   

I have made a booking but not been successful, how do I find out whether I have been charged for this?

 

Please check with your credit card company, whether you have been charged or inform same to bookings@srilankan.aero

   

How can I be kept informed of future promotions from SriLankan Airlines?

 

You can CLICK HERE and sign up and receive all our future promotions from SriLankan Airlines

   

When I try and book online, it shows a higher fare than the promotional fare, why is this?

 

The seats allocated for the promotional fare have been sold out, hence you are quoted the fare with a surcharge.

   

When I try and search for a flight, I am getting an error “Flight not found”, what do I do?

 

The reason is the flights are unavailable for that period, hence please contact us on bookings@srilankan.aero or contact our nearest SriLankan Airlines Ticket Office to book this trip. CLICK HERE to find the nearest Ticket Office.

   

Can I waitlist for a flight through your website?

  Passengers booking online are guaranteed with a confirmed seat hence no passenger is waitlisted.
   
What is the allocated Free Baggage Allowance for me when I book my ticket online?
