The Colombo Model United Nations{ COMUN} one of the most prominent Model United Nations conferences in the world was held in March 2006.The sessions were organized by the Overseas school of Colombo. Students from several countries participated in the sessions where the youth of the nations were encouraged to make significant social, political and economic decisions through corporation with each other.
SriLankan Airlines made a significant contribution to the event by coming forward as the main sponsor of the event. The event coincided with the objective of empowering the future of the nation through education and a sound environment which is the basis of the functions of SriLankan Cares.
The youngsters displayed their gratitude by raising funds and selling the “We are SriLankan” DVDs as well as contributing used English reading material to be handed over to our adopted school in Kalawana.
